How Fort Lauderdale Cruise Parking Works

Five steps to park for a Fort Lauderdale cruise, from checking your terminal to riding the shuttle in. Portside is expanding here, so join the waitlist for a reserved spot.

  1. Check your terminal. Your boarding pass lists your Fort Lauderdale terminal (CT2, CT4, CT18, CT21, CT25 and CT29). Assignments shift by season, so go by the pass, not last year's sailing.
  2. Plan the drive. Most cruisers reach Fort Lauderdale by car. Find your city's route and drive time so you leave with a buffer for embarkation morning.
  3. Decide on-site or off-site. On-site is closest and priciest; reserved off-site is usually cheaper with a shuttle. Reserving guarantees a spot on a busy weekend.
  4. Reserve ahead. The closest spaces fill first. Booking in advance locks your spot and the lower advance rate. Portside's model is reserve-online, guaranteed-spot parking.
  5. Drop off and shuttle in. Pull into the lot, and a shuttle takes you to your terminal. On your return, the shuttle brings you back to your car.

What to check before you drive in

Ask whether the price counts both your drop-off day and your return day, since you are billed for each day your car is parked, counting the day you return and every day at sea, so a 7-night sailing is typically 8 days. Confirm when the return-morning shuttle starts running. And keep your confirmation on your phone, because the first-come lot is the one that fills on busy sailings. When Portside opens at Fort Lauderdale, all of this is handled in one reserved booking, the way it works at our Port Canaveral lot.

Join the Fort Lauderdale waitlist

Portside is not at Port Everglades yet. Joining is free, and it is how we decide where to open next. If your cruise is 90 or more days out, that gives us the runway to secure a lot near the terminal and hold a spot for you before you sail.

Free to join. Sign up 90+ days before you sail and we'll work to secure you a guaranteed spot near Fort Lauderdale and email you the moment one opens.

How parking works FAQ

How does cruise parking work at Fort Lauderdale?

Check your terminal, plan the drive, choose on-site or reserved off-site, book ahead, then drop off and ride the shuttle to your terminal. You are billed for each day your car is parked, counting the day you return and every day at sea, so a 7-night sailing is typically 8 days.

When should I arrive at Fort Lauderdale for my cruise?

Aim to reach your lot a couple of hours before your terminal's check-in window, with extra time on a weekend morning or after a long drive. Reserving ahead removes the scramble for a first-come space.
