Driving in the night before your Galveston cruise? A park-and-cruise hotel bundles a room, parking for your sailing, and a terminal shuttle. Portside is also building reserved parking here, so join the waitlist.
A park-and-cruise (or park-and-stay) package is one night at a Galveston-area hotel plus parking for the length of your cruise and a shuttle to the terminal. It suits cruisers coming from Houston, League City, Texas City and Dickinson and farther who would rather drive in the day before than risk embarkation-morning traffic. Galveston is the busiest drive-to cruise port in the country, and the overwhelming majority of its passengers arrive by car from Houston and across Texas.
Confirm how many days of parking the package includes (most Galveston lots charge by operational day, which is the number of cruise nights plus one), whether the shuttle runs on your return morning, and the total price versus booking a room and a reserved lot separately. For many cruisers a dedicated reserved lot is cheaper if they do not need the extra night.
Portside is not at Port of Galveston yet. Joining is free, and it is how we decide where to open next. If your cruise is 90 or more days out, that gives us the runway to secure a lot near the terminal and hold a spot for you before you sail.
Portside is live at Port Canaveral now: $14.95 a day, free shuttle, guaranteed reservation.
Reserve Port Canaveral parkingYes. Several Galveston-area hotels offer a park-and-cruise package: one night's stay plus parking for the length of your cruise and a shuttle to the terminal. It is popular with cruisers driving in the day before. Portside is building a dedicated reserved-parking option here too; join the waitlist.
It depends on the hotel and your cruise length. A park-and-stay package bundles a room you may want anyway with your parking; a dedicated reserved lot is usually the cheaper choice if you do not need the room. Most Galveston lots charge by operational day, which is the number of cruise nights plus one.
From $14.95 a day, free shuttle straight to your terminal, no hidden fees.
