Cruise Terminal K is Disney Cruise Line's new PortMiami terminal, opening in phases. PortMiami is the cruise capital of the world, and while many fly in, a large number of Floridians drive down and need somewhere secure to leave the car.
Most cruisers reach Miami by car. From Miami Beach, for example, it is about 5 miles, about 15 minutes, via the MacArthur Causeway to the Port Boulevard bridge. See the Miami Beach to Miami route or the Miami port overview for more drive markets.
On-site parking at PortMiami runs about $25 a day at most garages and $35 a day at the MSC (AA) and Norwegian (B) garages, with Royal Caribbean's Garage A priced separately, while private off-site lots can run as low as about $8 to $15 a day before taxes and fees. PortMiami garages charge for each day your car is parked, counting your drop-off and return day, and take credit or cash but not debit cards. On a full sailing day the closest spaces go first, so a guaranteed reserved spot near the terminal is worth locking in.
Portside is not at PortMiami yet. Joining is free, and it is how we decide where to open next. If your cruise is 90 or more days out, that gives us the runway to secure a lot near the terminal and hold a spot for you before you sail.
Portside is live at Port Canaveral now: $14.95 a day, free shuttle, guaranteed reservation.
