New Orleans Park and Cruise Hotels

Driving in the night before your New Orleans cruise? A park-and-cruise hotel bundles a room, parking for your sailing, and a terminal shuttle. Portside is also building reserved parking here, so join the waitlist.

How park and cruise works at New Orleans

A park-and-cruise (or park-and-stay) package is one night at a New Orleans-area hotel plus parking for the length of your cruise and a shuttle to the terminal. It suits cruisers coming from Metairie, Kenner, Covington and Slidell and farther who would rather drive in the day before than risk embarkation-morning traffic. The Port of New Orleans draws cruisers driving in from across the Gulf South, from Houston to the Florida Panhandle.

What to check before you book

Confirm how many days of parking the package includes (Port NOLA charges per cruise day, so a 7-day cruise is about $180, a 5-day about $135 and a 4-day about $120), whether the shuttle runs on your return morning, and the total price versus booking a room and a reserved lot separately. For many cruisers a dedicated reserved lot is cheaper if they do not need the extra night.

Park and cruise FAQ

Are there park and cruise hotels at New Orleans?

Yes. Several New Orleans-area hotels offer a park-and-cruise package: one night's stay plus parking for the length of your cruise and a shuttle to the terminal. It is popular with cruisers driving in the day before. Portside is building a dedicated reserved-parking option here too; join the waitlist.

Is park and cruise cheaper than New Orleans port parking?

It depends on the hotel and your cruise length. A park-and-stay package bundles a room you may want anyway with your parking; a dedicated reserved lot is usually the cheaper choice if you do not need the room. Port NOLA charges per cruise day, so a 7-day cruise is about $180, a 5-day about $135 and a 4-day about $120.
