Tampa Park and Cruise Hotels

Driving in the night before your Tampa cruise? A park-and-cruise hotel bundles a room, parking for your sailing, and a terminal shuttle. Portside is also building reserved parking here, so join the waitlist.

How park and cruise works at Tampa

A park-and-cruise (or park-and-stay) package is one night at a Tampa-area hotel plus parking for the length of your cruise and a shuttle to the terminal. It suits cruisers coming from Brandon, Riverview, St. Petersburg and Clearwater and farther who would rather drive in the day before than risk embarkation-morning traffic. Port Tampa Bay is a popular drive-to cruise port for Central and West Florida, with easy access from Orlando and the Gulf Coast.

What to check before you book

Confirm how many days of parking the package includes (you pay for each day your car is parked, so a 7-night cruise runs around $137 with tax in the port garage), whether the shuttle runs on your return morning, and the total price versus booking a room and a reserved lot separately. For many cruisers a dedicated reserved lot is cheaper if they do not need the extra night.

Park and cruise FAQ

Are there park and cruise hotels at Tampa?

Yes. Several Tampa-area hotels offer a park-and-cruise package: one night's stay plus parking for the length of your cruise and a shuttle to the terminal. It is popular with cruisers driving in the day before. Portside is building a dedicated reserved-parking option here too; join the waitlist.

Is park and cruise cheaper than Tampa port parking?

It depends on the hotel and your cruise length. A park-and-stay package bundles a room you may want anyway with your parking; a dedicated reserved lot is usually the cheaper choice if you do not need the room. You pay for each day your car is parked, so a 7-night cruise runs around $137 with tax in the port garage.
